Donald Trump Calls Meghan McCain "Angry and Obnoxious"

No holding back! Donald Trump took to Twitter on Saturday, Sept. 5, to let the world know his thoughts about conservative commentator Meghan McCain.

“@MeghanMcCain was terrible on @TheFive yesterday,” the GOP presidential front-runner wrote. “Angry and obnoxious, she will never make it on T.V. @FoxNews can do so much better!”

The real estate mogul’s harsh words come after McCain, 30 — the daughter of former Republican presidential nominee John McCain — made a guest appearance on The Five on Friday afternoon to discuss violence against police officers.

“I can’t believe I’m living in a society where it’s okay to call for violence against police officers,” she said at one point during the discussion.

McCain was nonplussed about Trump’s criticism, however, and even retweeted his words shortly thereafter.

“Oh man, I’ve officially made it in media now that @realDonaldTrump has officially attacked my appearance on @TheFive – thanks for watching!” she wrote.

Other prominent figures quickly tweeted their support for McCain.

“So much admiration for a woman speaking their mind in a scary and judgment filled world!” Katherine Schwarzenegger, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s daughter, wrote. “[Love] you @MeghanMcCain! #WomenStickTogether.”

Trump, 69, criticized McCain’s father in a scathing remark during the Family Leadership Summit in Ames, Iowa, in July.

“He’s not a war hero,” Trump said of Arizona Sen. John McCain. “He’s a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured.”

The outspoken mogul also called the senator a “loser.”

Meghan was quick to jump to her father’s defense.

“I can’t believe what I am reading this morning. Horrified. Disgusted,” she tweeted at the time. “There are no words. I have a brother that just returned from Afghanistan a month ago, glad he can come home to this being said about his father and his service.”
